Exams and Shows

Stagedoor School of Dance aims to put on a show every other year during the winter term. We also take part in local events and festivals as well as competitions.

All exams are with The Royal Academy of Dance. Exams are optional but great fun to take part in. With the RAD we recommend exams start around the age of 6-7years and each child spends on average 18months to 2 years studying each Grade before taking an exam. We do look at each child’s individual progress and when they are ready to progress through the Grades.

For the children who wish to take exams and dance further we offer vocational Grades (pre-intermediate, Intermediate, and Advances 1 & 2).
